RCC Goals for and Outcomes of Student Achievement (2022-24)

The goals support the college mission and the current strategic plan.  The results are analyzed and discussed annually with yearly improvement objectives implemented as needed.

I.  ACCESS to Exceptional Training and Educational Opportunities

GOAL 1 – CONNECTIONS

1. Increase RCC Fall admissions applications by 5% in Fall 2023 over Fall 2021.
   Results:  Fall 2021: 1,353; Fall 2023: 1,576; 16% increase
2. Increase RCC Fall admissions applications into degree or certificate programs by 5% in Fall 2023 over Fall 2021.
   Results:  Fall 2021: 502; Fall 2023: 628; 25% increase
3. Increase RCC Fall new and readmit admissions applications into degree or certificate programs by 5% in Fall 2023 over Fall 2021.

GOAL 2 – ENTRY: ADMISSION YIELD

1. Increase overall RCC application-to-enrollment yield to 65% in Fall 2023.

2. Increase RCC Fall application-to-enrollment into degree or certificate programs yield to 40% in Fall 2023.

1. Increase RCC enrollment penetration rate in Service Region Counties to 39% in Fall 2023.

2. Increase the percentage of Service Region High School graduates that enroll in RCC the Fall following graduation to 15% in Fall 2023.

GOAL 6 – ENTRY: DEVELOPMENTAL

1. Increase Dev Ed degree student completion of college-level Math within four semesters of enrollment to 30% (Fall 22 cohort reported in Spring 2024)

II.  SUCCESS as LEARNERS 

GOAL 1 – PROGRESSION: RETENTION

1. Increase Fall to Spring retention rate for full-time degree students to 88% and for part-time students to 70% (Fall 22 cohort reported in Spring 2024)

IV. SUCCESS as CITIZENS

GOAL 1 – Student preparation in General Education Skills

1. RCC General Education Assessment. Target 80% of students score 60% or higher.
   Spring 2024 85% scored 60% or higher
2. General Education Graduate Survey Results. Target-Students rate their General Education competency a 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
