In a powerful show of support for Virginia’s community colleges, Rappahannock Community College (RCC) President Dr. Shannon Kennedy and Dean of Student Development Dr. David Keel led a group of RCC students to the Virginia General Assembly recently to meet with legislators and discuss the future of education in the state.
RCC is excited about the developments and expansion of programs that wouldn't be possible without the generous support of donors. These contributions change lives every day. By improving the economic mobility of our students, we are improving our community. In the 2023-2024 report, you will learn more about the developments and changes at your community's college.

“Win and Help Win” is painted in large letters on the wall of the gymnasium at Haynesville Correctional Center. This message was reinforced as family, friends, supporters, staff, educators, and dignitaries gathered in November to celebrate the graduates from Rappahannock Community College (RCC) and Haynesville. Eleven inmates earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree, seven received a General Studies certificate, and 23 achieved a GED (high school equivalency).
Local high school students spent a week of their winter break at VCU Health Tappahannock Hospital to participate in a Health Career Immersion Camp hosted by Rappahannock Community College (RCC) and the hospital. The camp introduced students to a variety of health professions and the opportunity to rotate through departments while acquiring hands-on simulated experiences in a lab environment and earning certifications.
The following Rappahannock Community College students received recognition for achieving a GPA of 3.2 or higher during the Fall 2024 semester.
